The Travancore Chamber of Commerce speaks for its members to local bodies and to the Governments of Kerala and India. These are the areas it will work on first. Members can raise other issues with the Chamber at any time.
Faster licences and approvals. Starting or expanding a business should take weeks, not months. We will press for time-bound clearances through Kerala's K-SWIFT single window and for simpler renewals at local bodies.
Credit for small businesses. Micro and small enterprises need easier access to loans, including collateral-free credit under CGTMSE and Mudra. We will help members use these schemes and report where they fall short.
Infrastructure and logistics. Roads, power and the links between the Vizhinjam International Seaport and the rest of the district decide how competitive local businesses are. We will follow these projects and put members' needs on record.
Tourism that benefits local business. Thiruvananthapuram's beaches, backwaters, heritage and hill country bring visitors every year. We support tourism policy that keeps more of that spending with local enterprises.
Skills and jobs. We will work with colleges, training institutes and employers so young people in the region find work at home.
Exports and international trade. Many families in the region have strong ties with the Gulf. We will help members turn those ties into trade, with clear export procedures and support for first-time exporters.
